Avantages
Company was very good when COVID hit about working from home. Salaries are competitive. You will learn a lot (of how not to act and what not to do)
Inconvénients
Like other reviewers, I want to supply honest feedback so you know what you are getting into if you apply and accept a job here. This is a good place if you need a job and some work experience. This is not a place to grow your career. The company is losing its competitive edge in the lighting industry. Systems and processes are outdated. External hires do not last long as the company does not like to change their way of doing business. Onboarding for new employees is horrible. Turnover is high, and there are layoffs every year. The workload just gets passed down to those who are employed. Work life balance can get out of control. Sales keep declining with no plan to reverse the trend. The organization is very flat and management is very cliquey and political. Roles and responsibilities are very blurred here. Company sets unrealistic KPIs that are never hit. There are many people in the organization who just do enough to do their job, and now with the new bonus structure of “great together” you can underperform and get full bonus payout. So those that go above and beyond do not get much. You will need to drink the juice to be a success here. There are many meetings in this organization that generate nothing. Company is very into Lean training. You will be root causing until you die. Many departments are disorganized and not staffed properly others are overstaffed because the perception of work by the employees. The global team will dictate changes that may not work in the USA, whether it is product changes or system changes.
