      Avantages

      Benefits were customizable and pretty good. Time off was rather flexible. Opportunity for growth in company. Lots of opportunity for learning.

      Inconvénients

      Overworked for small amount of pay, Unrealistic expectations to resolve large issues for merchants in extremely small amount of time.

      Avantages

      Remote first culture. If you want freedom of location and a company to truly mean and support it - this is the place.

      Inconvénients

      Constant change. Nothing to hold on to in this role, compensation, KPI's, tools all change every quarter.

      Avantages

      Legacy Shopify ICs and lower-level managers are excellent and generally quite nice (company's Canadian after all) Caliber of engineering talent is generally high Dev-friendly stack (Ruby/Rails) Bleeding-edge AI adoption with unlimited token budget

      Inconvénients

      Recently brought over a CTO from Microsoft: he brought with him a lot of not-at-all-nice people who are highly political, frequently rude/condescending to legacy Shopifolk, and make consistently bad/dev-hostile technical decisions Bleeding-edge AI adoption is being used to justify unreasonably increased expectations
