      Avantages

      Some of the pros of working for the Selective Service are/were the great co-workers, wellness walks, the degree of camaraderie there, encouraged learning and supporting of career and/or job goals and immediate and positive feedback. It's a very special place to me, even though my time was short.

      Inconvénients

      For me, it was the commute. Another thing was the communication--the depth of communication in certain areas.

      Avantages

      The degree of camaraderie in this organization is unmatched. You will get support when exposed to a new system or project. The staff is helpful and tight-knit. In addition, there's a good open door policy, even when the door is closed. As a contractor, I gained a good amount of skills just from learning Oracle & seeing how SSS works and a great respect for this organization.

      Inconvénients

      For me it would be the commute as I'm in Baltimore and had to get to Arlington by public transportation. But that's the only downside.

      Nice people and stable work.

      Disorganization, unqualified managers, organizational complacency, apathy, and politics.
