Avantages

Hours if you willing to travel at your own expense and spend money on licenses that will not be reimbursed by the company. Money can be above average for a regular guard spot, but it depends on the contract and your boss. This is good if you need a job to keep yourself from starving as it is something and it is better than working in fast food.

Inconvénients

Have to watch paycheck really close as they will tell you one rate for a job and pay you another. Been shorted on OT more than once because of 'accounting' errors from the head office. Front line managers do not help with this as they have no control. Area managers will lie to you to get you to do what they need done. Worked every holiday one year, I told my boss that I could not work a certain holiday, he keep on hounding me to do it because he had no one else. Finally caved so he would stop bothering me. Paycheck was not right in the end, but got worked out after a few weeks. The bi weekly pay dates do not help with this.

Avantages

None, I have no pros working at this company. The only pro I have is that the client I work for is amazing, but has absolutely nothing to do with SOS and quite frankly can't stand SOS themselves.

Inconvénients

Shady management, lots of lying and manipulation, horrible drugged out staff. They hire anyone off of the street without any experience. UA's are not actually done half of the time. Sometimes employees are put to work before filling out official paperwork, I-9, etc. I am not exaggerating. Employees are not paid for training and are rarely paid for all hours worked if they're at multiple sites. Supervisors get very little support and are expected to work as if they are salary employees without any additional pay. There's ZERO work/life balance. You're expected to work 24/7 and then be on the phone unpaid working too. You as a Supervisor are told to lie to your client about your teams performance, the quality of your team, the attendance of your team, etc. To make SOS look good, and if you don't lie, you get fired. You are constantly being threatened to be fired if you do not lie to protect your Account Manager, even when you're doing a great job, working hard and have been told by your client you've done the best job running the site than anyone SOS has ever provided.
