No strategy or vision - caused by a complete lack of leadership. Senior leadership largely consists of those who have had a long term relationship with the school in a variety of roles and they are imbued with a complacent belief in the worth and value of the school. There are staff in managerial and senior posts who have been given their jobs without any formal recruitment process. Any professional expertise that challenges those ideas is not respected - never mind listened to. If your face does not fit or if you challenge the status quo the school does not want you. There is a widespread failure of duty of care for employees which includes a failure to support those with any kind of difference or additional needs. Senior leadership showed no ability to manage change, no capacity for empathy and a complete failure to communicate about what was going on or what the outcome of the change would be for team members.
