Avantages
Ritchie Bros. has excellent benefits and does a fabulous job of making every day interesting. There is rarely downtime and this too helps to pass the time. There was also plenty of opportunity for those interested to work in various parts of the business.
Inconvénients
In recent years the company has transitioned from what felt like a family atmosphere where all were willing to help others as needed to a VERY corporate environment. This has completely diminished employee morale, taken away any sense of security and also taken what once felt like a career and turned it into a job. While competitors are close on their heels, mistreating employees is far from a step in the right direction. Lastly the expectations of hourly employees to work massive hours due to increasing the number of sales in a year is crazy while managers come in late and leave early daily.
