The CEO is a sociopath and routinely demeans and browbeats the staff. The average employee lasts less than 6 month here. The CEO will entice people with tales of travelling the world, industry contacts and high comissions and then proceeds with what appears to be a concerted attempt to destroy lives, careers, happiness and self-confidence. Several of my co-workers and former employees have had to seek counselling, and one was diagnosed with PTSD.
The CEO's favorite go-to phrase is "I appreciate you, just not that much" and will spend hours (literally, hours) every day trying to crush someones spirit because they asked the wrong question.
