Avantages

Most employees are hardworking and want the company to succeed. Generous paid time off and holidays. Better than average insurance benefits.

Inconvénients

No recognition of dedication or accomplishments. No system of regular reviews for performance let alone salary. Some employees have gone five or six years with no reviews.Don't try to build a universal culture. Two US locations have different benefit structures because of the California labor laws vs the Texas labor laws. Promise more to clients than can be delivered with existing technology; then spend millions the company doesn't have attempting to buy companies that own the technology or to develop it internally with overworked, underpaid staff or by outsourcing to India or Far East. Historically, employees of the acquired companies are brought on board to transfer knowledge then let go with the executives being paid out huge severance packages and the employees who have the knowledge to transfer being let go with minimal compensation.

Avantages

Free bad coffee. Good location, friendly coworkers.

Inconvénients

I went through 6 weeks of poor training that mostly involved the trainers and management talking about what they were going to have for lunch rather than helping me with questions that I had. I hounded them for over a month about some time off that I made them aware of during my interview. I was finally approved the time off the day before I had to leave town. Needless to say, I was ecstatic with my manager about the approval. They then called me three days into my time off and left me a voice mail saying that I was fired. I was the top seller in my campaign and had my time off approved. I was shocked to hear the news. I called back and left my manager a voice mail. She never called me back. From what I heard from other associates, Rainmaker shows a lot of favoritism, and so they kept the associates that would buy their manager Starbucks every morning and let some of their other top associates go to save some money. Poor company with a stupid gong that they hit during high call volume in the middle of the center. No guidance, high expectations, little pay-off.
