Avantages
The individual contributors, even though alot of the good ones have left and found infinitely better places to work. The only other pro is that maybe they will be acquired by a better company that has proper leadership across the board.
Inconvénients
Where do I begin... Lack of transparency and vision from upper management, especially after acquisition Questionable GTM strategy Things weren't great under Dell but they got worse very fast Post acquisition, they spent all of their time promoting their friends and leaving everyone else in the dark Mid-level "managers" who have egos, play political games, only care about themselves, and do not look out for their team members There is no sense of culture, except "business as usual" Sales account managers and engineers often get forced to cover expanded territories with no incentive or extra compensation. Management is aware that employees get burnt out and they do nothing to help. In fact, they just keep adding more and more to your plate until your calendar is filled with meetings. Promotions are promised and not given, unless you're in the inner circle Unattainable quota No accountability for those who do not meet expectations Very subpar compensation, especially with commission plans. It is known by management that some members of the sales engineering organization had no commission plan at all, with no action to fix it until it was too late. Your wellbeing isn't taken into consideration Elite talent is leaving and it seems as if it is encouraged You are only valued when it's too late If you like being overworked and underpaid then this is the place for you
