Inconvénients
Expect $10k less than what your salary band should be. Expect to work 10+ weekends a year with no overtime pay. Early (3am) mornings and long days of actually DOING the races themselves. So, you may be hired to do graphic design, but know you'll be filling water jugs for runners on freezing cold days, then go back to your hotel and work on a marketing email with no overtime pay. Expect a lot of promises upon being hired (like being able to work remote during bad weather) and then be told by the CEO that they just "can't." In off season, expect a long commute from the city. A really really high turnover rate...10+ people were fired or quit out of 25 employees in 6 months.
