      Change is needed to compensation; remove geographical location from determining factors in calculating wages, use the highest national average pay per position in the calculations, and offer significant internal promotions simultaneously to fill resource gaps utilizing existing and transition users with on the job experience in lieu of bachelor's degrees.

      Avantages

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Inconvénients

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
