Avantages

High technology base. Great programs to track goals and maintain metrics. Great pay! Definitely an innovator leading the way in Revenue Cycle Mangement.

Inconvénients

Costly health care & not great coverage. May move too fast with implementing new technology. Moves ahead with or without your team being fully trained. Significant failures to communicate when other departments (Shared Services) change processes that extremely effect your workflow. Outsourced as many Jobs and functions as possible to overseas teams.

Avantages

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Inconvénients

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
