Leadership hands down processes from their bubble, with no clue how things actually work on the ground. After a while, the work just becomes robotic—and that’s kind of the point. You’re not here to think. You’re here to follow instructions. And yes, it really does feel like you’re being watched like some kind of test subject in a lab. They track everything, obsess over the tiniest details, and act like optimizing every second of your day is more important than trusting you to do good work.
