Avantages

The $4 lunches were nice sometimes

Inconvénients

Too many to list them all. No matter how long you've worked there, you can be thrown over at the drop of a hat if a meeting doesn't go well or if you don't buy into the cult hard enough. They've been rapidly cutting back the benefits that they used to recruit a lot of people. Flex time, maternity leave, remote work for bad weather, gym hours, dress code, and more have been cut. They often make those changes with little/ no warning and leave people scrambling to change with a week or less. They push metrics all the time, but intentionally set it up so you can't actually get full marks because "there's always room for improvement." They overload employees, and then just fire them and replace them with new graduates who don't know any better yet. Trust me, it's not worth your sanity. Even people who give 10+ years to the company mean nothing to them.

As a rapidly growing organization, Paycom is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of our business and clients. This means that our processes and policies may adapt over time, however, our goals and values remain steadfast. We understand the importance of our unique benefits, and we're committed to maintaining them so long as they align with our organization's overall vision. In fact, our paid medical maternal leave has increased, and we continue to offer support to our team members during significant life events. At Paycom, we set high standards for achievement and performance and use data-driven metrics to drive continuous improvement. While this approach may not be the best fit for everyone, it's designed to help our team members, and organization, grow and develop. We encourage you to reach out to hrmgmt@paycomonline.com so we can learn more about your experience.

Avantages

Good benefits, easy HR system. As a product, Paycom is very good.

Inconvénients

There has been too much restructuring in the past couple of years. You will get no overtime pay. A bad developer and a good developer will be paid the same. They do not care about what technique you use as long as it works. Got used to a new process that was released two months ago? They just changed it again. The issue was Paycom tried to fix something that was not broken (for the most part) in Development, and now everything is pretty much broken. You will get double the work but no change in pay. They will try to get feedback, but only from managers, not actual developers who work with the system each day. Even though they inconvenience developers every other week with a new priority, if you inconvenience management (usually because they want Rome built in a day), you will have a write-up. Many good developers have left for better opportunities elsewhere as they also were not getting raises or title changes, even though they're doing better work above their pay grade. You only got a raise if everyone was getting a raise.
