Avantages

Flexible work hours and great benefits especially if you have kids and family obligations, fun events and parties, and some great, wonderful and talented people to work with.

Inconvénients

Working environment can be unprofessional at times, unstable leadership and vague strategies across the board that are always changing and are rarely operationalized internally for successful execution. There's lack of strategic forward-thinking and deep analysis to address lack of product-market fit, and general defensiveness towards real, difficult problem solving that often requires a high amount of trust and open communication amongst team members working towards shared goals. People are often pushed to management/leadership positions that they do not have the skills and background for and receive little or no training for. There are cases when they lack the emotional intelligence required to deal with or coach subordinates, leading to unhealthy work relationships, and the need to re-organize every 6 months on average.

Avantages

Good benefits, good PTO, remote options

Inconvénients

TLDR; Poor leadership, discrimination, micromanagers, favoritism, no diversity within the board or C-Suite. It’s just a glorified staffing agency with delusional leadership. Absolutely do not recommend working here if you are LGBTQ+; they have no DEI initiatives and it shows. There’s a lot of favoritism and nepotism and if you bring up concerns then you’ll be pushed out. The whole “we are a B Corp” thing is such a facade. There are wage discrepancies with lots of over-worked and under-paid staff. The C-Suite repeatedly says that Participate Learning should be non-partisan. However, they will bend backwards to appease ultra conservatives and will never stand up for their values. They also spent a bunch of money for an all staff retreat to go to Orlando Florida in 2024 and then told the company not to post about it on social media or let anyone know. Take that as you will. I wish you all the best on your job search and if you’re reading this then I know that you deserve better than Participate Learning.
