Avantages

The product is good and cost effective compared to competitors. There are some awesome people that work on IC level.

Inconvénients

It goes without saying that the CEO/ Upper Management have lost sight of what made this product great. A series C that can't confidently choose an ICP as they do multiple case studies on anything but their primary B2B Saas space? Some people work here for years and still have no idea what this product does nor have a general idea of what they do themselves. Business Training? Non existent. It amazes me how 99% of the population does not understand what their job does nor their metrics . God forbid you try to implement training on important structures outside of product as you get alienated and isolated onto projects you do not care about. Come here if you wish to be in a place where unreachable pips are apparent to force quitting or be on a team that has a "everything is fine" mentality, when in reality it's just quiet toxicity. No one wants to speak the truth in fear that they will get targeted or lose their job. The founders/execs spend their money on stupid things and then expect employees to perform when pretty much everyone at Pandadoc is below market rate maybe besides the execs? If this company keeps going down this path I would expect them to miss their next round of funding and be asked for a buy out from another company.

decently nice coworkers. Internet paid for?

Inconvénients

Where to begin? Pandadoc is directionless. The company creates revenue because the product is fairly simple and low-cost. And yet, there’s no product roadmap in sight to expand revenue into new markets or geos. Most directors and above are acting within the “peter principle” and shift blame and accountability to lowly ICs. I’ve never seen anything like it in my career. Said “leadership” can’t create a sticky strategy if their jobs depended on it—oh wait! That’s why they scapegoat ICs! Easier to blame an IC2 than take responsibility for their poor choices or no choices for that matter. There’s no top-down planning anywhere at this company. And because there’s no planning, everyone at the bottom has to compensate for the lack of direction and prioritization. That has led to burnout, attrition and the lowest morale I’ve seen at a tech company since 2020. The company has zero career laddering, departments go years without promoting a single team member, but the CEOs inner circle get promotions every year. I’ve never seen a strategy from marketing or sales. Ask an AE how many times Pd has tried to pivot markets or segments!
