Avantages
For me, the pros outweigh the cons: Never boring, big diversity in tasks to do. Ability to influence how we are working. Great coworkers, a lot of smart people around. Feeling important to my manager and team. Big diversity in nationality and cultures in this company. - We are mostly speaking English, even though based in Sweden. Big opportunity to grow as an engineer. There are many positive things to say about NV. You wont get this experience in another company in Sweden.
Inconvénients
Periods with really bad work life balance. I have seen coworkers burning out. This place is not for anyone that can't handle stress. In several teams, the current situation is not sustainable. Benefits are mostly lacking, salary is not amazing considering that all the overtime is only rewarded with a standard 5 days extra vacation (total 30 days for engineering). First year I worked 12-14 h/day and some weekends. This is reduced now fortunately. The Swedish law of working hours is bypassed by not tracking working hours. Instead, in project time tracking, working hours are limited to 40h/week, not more, not less. So even if I work 70 hours, I need to split it evenly on the 40h between the projects. There are some people in management that really don't care about our well being, even if they say they do.
