Lower level management(group) is competent an overall decent persons.

High level management (owner) and HR is incompetent and outright inhuman. I was notified that I'm laid off in an email containing about 15 words, after a decade of working there. Bonus points for sanding the email 10 minutes after my work email was disabled. I was called a sack of potatoes(referring to that I'm worth a fixed amount someone is willing to pay for it) by the owner of the company after the second month of my employment. This was because i dared to ask where is the raise that we agreed on once my trial period is over, which they did not give and only got a promise of it in another three months. The sole job of HR is to be a buffer between the owner and employees to rebuff any attempt to get a raise. Wages are 2/3 at best of what is generally considered average in the industry.

This workplace is very reliable and stable. You can study and use new technologies. Good collegial environment, everybody is helpful. Usually, it is calm and balanced.

Sometimes you can stack in an old technology environment. It depends on your partner companies. Few career advancement opportunities.
