Avantages
Great flexibility in work hours and location with remote work-from- home set up. Amazing coworkers who are genuine, empathetic, highly qualified, with strong can-do attitudes. Start-up like culture will give you extensive exposure in an accelerated amount of time, meaning you will learn a lot in a short amount of time
Inconvénients
Expect non-existent to limited support in onboarding and overall professional growth. Compensation is well under industry standards, and promotion is “performance” based however KPIs are largely out of employee control. Upper management is resistant to change and is punitive when feedback is given. Poor job security with diminishing quality of services, and some departments are continuously shrinking. This in turn has caused a culture shift towards (1) overworked employees and gaps in service delivery when employees cannot meet expectations within time, (2) micromanaging among cross functional teams to mitigate challenges with service delivery, (3) mistrust between employees. Never ending cycle of poor work life balance, not able to meet expectations, much less exceed expectations, and not being eligible for promotion DESPITE your actual compounding experience.
