Avantages
They get you working on big projects, but with a price...
Inconvénients
I've worked 4 years for them as a remote freelancer from Europe. You get 30% of the money, they get the rest by doing nothing, the communications are 90% of the time by you and the client into their private forums. Impolite and fake polite Art Managers I've encountered both, they know their 'victims' and act accordingly. Always trying to keep you busy and talking about the next project, to prevent you to get work elsewhere, they got me for 4 years. Endless unpaid revisions by the clients, unprofessional comments to your work. They make you feel like an incompetent artist and they make you question you as an artist, another cheap trick to keep you low paid and with the goal to improve, to their benefit of course. You suddenly don't have a life, months pass and you work on these amazing projects but you don't get rich, they get. Suddenly your health got worse, much worse. You don't have time for nothing and the long hours build up. You don't want to disappoint that art manager that is getting you work right? And the client is waiting for your next update... Do you have professional grade portfolio? Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs! Don't depend your life on them, you will regret it, like someone said, it's good to build skills for a short period of time, but don't get sucked into their system.
