Avantages
Unlike any company I have worked for previously, Interface identifies and promotes talent from within, allowing positions across the organization to grow with the company. Outside talent is also brought in, but not at the sacrifice of the growth and interests of current employees. Leadership is diverse, with a strong percentage of women in these positions. In an industry that works heavily with interior designers, this is a boon. Interface also lives the ideals promoted, actively investing in continued improvements in sustainability and world class design. Unlike many in the design industry, Interface purchases no carbon offsets to achieve their carbon zero status. Overall, Interface supports employee growth and leads by example in the realm of sustainable design and manufacturing. I have never been more proud to work for an organization.
Inconvénients
Like many sales organizations, the on-boarding process could be more prescriptive. Mine has had many hiccups, and I believe more are still to be discovered. The regional showrooms could do a better job with brand story telling.
