They take a lot of pains to communicate the policies clearly. A very open-door culture where hierarchy is almost absent. You get to discuss and decide where you want to go. A well respected company in India and saying you work for Infosys always makes people think you are bright :)
Inconvénients
Strict and rigid policies. The offices in most Infosys development centres are very far from the city, so you must be ready for a long commute. If you are keen on work-life balance, then Infosys is not the place for you. Depending on the project you work on, your work-life balance can tip either way. No work from home facility. Women employees find it difficult to cope. The work timings are 9 hours and 15 minutes everyday and your work time is strictly monitored. Add the commute time to that and you could be spending anywhere between 12 to 14 hours away from home. From being a very employee friendly company this company has now slipped to being a very difficult to work for employer. It's a huge company and so associated red-tape and other problems.
