Management do not know what they're doing nor how to treat people - and seem to be puppets of upper management who also have no clue what's going on below.
- Micromanagement to the highest degree. You will be worked until you have no more life left in you with the expectation to deliver an impossible amount of tasks, leaving you exhausted, frustrated and defeated.
- No support. Management listen to you about the core issues within the business, but take no action to fix them. This means you're left with no support - and problems continue to repeat themselves despite offering multiple potential solutions. It's a continued cycle of process failure points, inefficiency and burn-out.
A bullying culture. Inchcape claims to support employees and provide a diverse and inclusive workplace, but it's full of bully's, predators and powerful men who take advantage of women.
I've experienced multiple issues of bullying at Inchcape and when raising these issues to HR, they immediately defend the bully's and dismiss your claims like nothing happened. After all, management are powerful and the company wouldn't want to cross them to defend an employee they can replace in a week.
Culture. Everyone here HATES their job. I'm not sure who's leaving these glassdoor reviews, but my time at Inchcape showed me how many miserable people work here - and they do nothing about fixing the issues. Be prepared to witness multiple resignations due to bullying, discrimination, sexism and burnout. Inchcape doesn't care at all - and just hires more people to zombify - and the employee churn continues.
Sexism. If you're a woman, get ready for the 'nice ar*e' comments because you're surrounded by filthy men who treat you like a piece of meat. It's honestly disgusting and I couldn't stand it. Again, raise this to HR and they don't do anything about it...
My experience at Inchcape has turned me into a miserable mess. Ignore what they claim to be - because they lie to reel you in for the job and then treat you like you're nothing.
I've heard they find it difficult to hire people. And there's a good reason for that. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place.
