You don't get an opportunity to think for yourself. Most "engineering" is copying an old design and making a few changes that the engineering manager tells you to make. The job market is tight in Grand Forks. I've been looking for a different job for over a year but would like to stay in the area so I'm staying put for now. There is no semblance of teamwork.
