Avantages
Somehow, they manage to hire mostly nice folks, and some of those nice folks stay around for a bit.
Inconvénients
I worked here almost 5 years; was always a rotating door of workers, whether by choice or by force. But from 2019-2020, it became even more of a hire then fire or push out kind of environment, from property managers to accountants to executive levels. I counted, at one point, 28 people that had walked out the door one way or another the last year or so of my employment. There were only probably about that many total people in the office at a time! Anecdote: the owner's invite list to our company holiday party always included bankers he does business with. In one of the last parties I attended, one of the bankers even commented at my table how few faces he recognizes every year because of the turnover. There is an "HR" person, but she is beholden only to the owner's wishes. Very conservative office that views employees only as a means to an end. My position was "eliminated" at the beginning of the pandemic after I put my complaints/suggestions in a written review, then also inquired about their Covid cleaning protocols (they would not allow us to work from home during a worldwide pandemic, even though they previously encouraged us to work from home on random winter storm days). They took a large PPP loan and followed that up by firing people or eliminating positions so they didn't need to rehire. When I was "eliminated," they tried to pay me off so I wouldn't be able to say the things I'm saying now. I, of course, did not accept it. Unless you are a newbie in your field and/or are desperate for a job, I'd steer clear. If you do take a job here, be very realistic and know this job will, yes, probably teach you some valuable things, but you should always be looking for something better because better is out there! This company is under the same leadership as a company called American Capital Properties. When I worked there, they frequently posted job postings under alias company names to avoid current workers seeing their own jobs posted. I wouldn't be surprised if they still do.
