Avantages
Most of the people in customer service roles are great people. New office, nice amenities, decent pay, great benefits and laid back staff.
Inconvénients
Where do I start? First, when in a customer account role, you do nothing but input orders and deal with customers. The software that they use is out of date and clunky. It is often subjet to IT and network outages. They are really lagging behind the technology curve. It's pretty embarrassing. There isn't much room for growth there either. There aren't a lot of management positions here, and it is clear that half of the people in them were put there because of favoritism. And while we are on that subject, they don't know what they are doing either. If you aren't in their circle of friends or a family member, you are treated differently. I have been basically told to shut up and smile when I have brought problems to them. The best advice I have been told there, from someone who has been in their CAR role for several years is to keep my head down and don't make the new manager mad while I'm looking for a new career.
