- Opportunity for career growth - Office and parking is downtown Detroit to make my commute easy - Flexible schedule of 9-5 - Due to covid the office is partially remote so it is quiet - Everyone is nice, feels like a family

Avantages

-laid-back work environment -flexible workday schedule (around 9-5, but not strict about it) -free coffee -benefits include health, vision, dental -have your own office -enough downtime that you can do your own thing for a good portion of the day -kiosk side of the business is growing with a strong local social impact

Inconvénients

-family owned and operated, making the work environment awkward and semi-professional -programs used to do daily work are extremely outdated and not compatible with current technology, many are custom-built and haven't been updated with current computer technologies -completely disorganized: important information is either not documented or hard to find (often only one person knows the answer, and you spend more time tracking down who that person is than getting work done- it's a wonder how they do business); there is no consistent naming convention for files; there is no consistent set place to save documents to make them easy to find later; server folder structure is a hot mess; there is no management of client information or current work being done; etc… -communication and transparency between management and workers is really rough/nonexistent -building located in a semi-shady industrial area and the parking lot is similar to or worse than a Michigan road in the springtime. -pay structure is very uneven and unfair: management makes WAY more than the people who actually do the work; employees on the same level with the same experience have vastly different salaries (some are even hourly instead of salaried); you have to fight to get a raise; there is no possibility of advancement -many employees have to do multiple jobs including their own because management doesn’t want to hire a couple more people -management does not do a good job delegating work, it’s pretty much up to you to figure out your workload -no consistent branding and visual identity across the company (we’re talking multiple different logos, 4+ different business cards, etc.) -there is a chief marketing officer, but they focus on getting new business through networking rather than advertising and creating a strong social media presence to attract new and more diverse clientele. -many employees work remotely and nobody knows what they’re actually working on at any given time because they don’t check in on a regular basis.
