Avantages
Large, established company with name recognition. Exposure to the homebuilding industry and opportunity to work with experienced teams.
Inconvénients
Significant lack of clear expectations from the outset. The role was presented as a salaried role, flexible schedule (including work from home), during the hiring process and then upon accepting employment I was notified that the job was hourly with strict in the office presence required.
Management was largely absent, especially during the first few months of employment. There was little to no onboarding support, limited communication, and minimal direct supervision. Expectations were not clearly defined, and guidance was often inconsistent or provided after the fact.
Policies and boundaries were not clearly explained or documented, which created confusion around what was and was not permitted. Feedback was not provided in a timely or constructive manner, making it difficult to course-correct or align with leadership expectations.
Overall, the environment lacked structure, clarity, and consistent leadership presence.
