Avantages

I started as an intern and have progressed here because I was given responsibility from the beginning which I enjoy. Many of my projects are being used in production today. I've created Ecommerce integration, mobile apps, as well as custom web applications. We have acquired a team of 8 full time professional PHP and mySQL developers who have been very successful in moving the web department forward.

Inconvénients

In the past, the companies hires a lot of young, unexperienced developers and tries to give them an opportunity to learn and grow into a full time professional developer. However many of them are very bad developers, so they waste a lot of my time trying to teach them how to develop. The current group came to us with completed degrees and with experience, so getting much better.

Avantages

This has been a great place to work and develop my skills.. I have done many different projects with a wide variety of application environments. The work includes some older php development, but new projects use Laravel MVC Framework and IOS mobile app development including barcode and MSR reader hardware integration. Because we have had so many successful software launches, the company has acquired more projects than we currently need, so we are looking for experienced developers. The company hires many developers from local universities including UB and RIT.

Inconvénients

The company has given many kids out of college their first development job, so most of them take months to begin productive development and a large percentage of these newly graduated "developers" never really produce any actual output that we can show to customers, so the rest of the experienced developers constantly have to clean up after them.
