Avantages
Small enough that individuals can easily make an impact, and you can get quick assistance from other teams, and there is plenty of room for advancement. But large enough that you're not working startup hours. I have never been pressured to work outside work hours for a deadline. There's a high standard for quality and character of employees, and I've had great relationships with coworkers and managers. My work is appreciated. Appreciate the genuine focus on fitness and athletics. CEO leans conservative, which gives good balance against the rather liberal software field.
Inconvénients
Fair share of on call. (Though we do prioritize work to minimize this.) CEO is not big on work from home, and his initial draconian policies contributed to the loss of a lot of talent post-lockdown. The policies have since been greatly relaxed, but talent has been slow to replace. Work tends to be driven by the whims of the next big customer.
