Avantages

The physical job is great and the compensation is not bad at all. You can make great money with commission as well. Recruiting was a great job right out of college and I learned a lot.

Inconvénients

The only people I could ever turn to if there was an issue was the president of the company and my co-workers. The "managers" at this company were extremely cliquey and manipulative. In my opinion, some people do not leave jobs because of the actual job itself....they leave because of poor management. In my case, that is about 90% why I left this company. I could not take the constant lies and backlash any longer. I would have stayed longer if it weren't for the managers quite honestly. I felt like I could not trust my managers or come to them with questions/issues. That is a serious problem in my eyes.

Avantages

- Day to day, there is virtually no supervision by management, so recruiters don't feel a great deal of pressure. - Environment is rather casual. - PTO requests are always approved. - Many of the requirements are quite easy, and there is a large margin for error as a recruiter learning the ropes. - There is plenty of work to go around, so the team is *usually* more collaborative than competitive. - You get to leave work at work, overtime is not expected.

Inconvénients

- Unprofessionalism exists in every aspect of the company. - Turnover is high (~66% my first year). - Recruiters don't have access to most of the premium sourcing tools. - Commission structure makes it difficult to consistently increase income long-term. - Management is reluctant to offer new responsibilities/opportunities to newer employees. - Communication system is highly inefficient. Information goes from Clients -> Management -> Recruiters -> Candidates and back again any time any message must be conveyed, making it very difficult to handle any sort of issues. - The management makes zero effort to cultivate any kind of company culture, and all managers work remotely, leaving the office a no-man's land.
