Avantages
Pay is ok Performance assessment 1 per year but with no clear expectations set beforehand Happy Thursday pizza and beer once per month 2-3 gatherings per year with drinks and food Some very nice people still work there Hybrid type of work Appropriate work-life balance if you don’t mind the odd working hours (US Marker). Company options available although no one knows their value. The company is a product leader in a niche of its own The product has a lot of potential
Inconvénients
The company is well beyond its startup days being on the market for >10 years. The product is niche and large enterprise oriented but No SaaS offering. Senior Management is somewhat silent with little transparency in terms of company health and goals. Some strategic lay offs were executed but the company is still hiring in some markets. Management is addressing communication issues by promising to hold quarterly Town Hall meetings. No training and education subsidy No clear way how to get a promotion or a raise. No company culture and values Poor onboarding process. The product is complex and new comers are mostly left to struggle on their own. A lot of micro management in some teams. A lot of managers, directors and VPs for a small company No company org chart available so the best way to see someone’s role is LinkedIn. No metrics used for anything they do and build No effort on reflection and self-improvement A lot of mistakes are made due to poor management
