At Appsoft, we are able to work autonomously at our specialties of creating user friendly custom websites.

Inconvénients

We are a small company and sometimes it's hard to find employees that are willing to do something outside of their comfort zone.

Avantages

If you like a small workload then you'll enjoy having nothing to do most of the time for the 3 clients that somehow keep this business alive. There are a few really cool people here. They will likely be gone soon, but the marketing team while I was there was a very cool group. Sort of a pro and a con but every day felt like an actual episode of The Office. It was entertaining watching the unhinged drama unfold as people kept leaving. If you're the type of person who likes to hop aboard sinking ships, you'll love it here.

Inconvénients

No direction or communication from CEO. The company is like 12 people and we were somehow out of the loop on everything. Even our manager was not given direction. It was like we were on an island stranded with the occasional "client not happy" email and that was it. I only talked to the CEO like twice my whole time there and it was only because of the damage control he attempted after some employees left. Weird business practices. There was a strong focus on a slots machine app developed in-house, leaving major clients in the dust. But then when a client was upset all of a sudden we "care" about them. CEO blames all problems on anything else but himself/the company. He even fired the marketing manager because he thought she was the sole reason for our team's turnover. "Security" cameras were super creepy. Pretty sure they were listening too. Leadership said they weren't watching us, but all signs point to yes they were. I could go further into this, but it would start to sound like a horror movie plot. You try to reach out to CEO/other office and you usually get no response unless you go and physically walk up to them. This led to a chaotic client situation (one of many), as I received no advice on a potential problem that I emailed them about beforehand. Benefits/PTO are a joke. CEO's excuse is that he's "old school" so in his eyes he thinks it's great. He gets to enjoy his nice cars and fancy house and we get to enjoy overpaying for health coverage. It’s a win-win! Felt like we were doing clients favors more than doing actual work for them. They are essentially paying pennies for marketing work. CEO is conveniently friends with all of them. I literally don't know how this company makes money. Company posts fake good reviews after a bad review goes up (just watch). The guy who said that being in a boyband “felt like a con” was a liar. He loved my band. Everything else he said was true though.
