      Great people, great company, not so great for software developers - Avis employé Software Engineer ARMtech

      Avantages

      Great people, pleasant atmosphere. Common sense rules the day- completely unbureaucratic. Great benefits and yearly bonus. It's a please to work for a company where the people are so nice- no hotheads, egotists, dicks, authoritarians. Casual atmosphere

      Inconvénients

      For software developers, old (mid-90s) tools, overly conservative approach, lack of challenging projects, fair to poor quality code base. In general- does not pay well, raises, including cost of living and merit raises, are never given without the employee initiating negotiations. Company has had high turnover of software developers and addressed this by hiring many developers fresh out of college. Complete lack of a software development culture.

      Avantages

      Flexible schedule, customers are mostly easy to get along with. $5 bonus for every completed claim.

      Inconvénients

      They make you use your $5 bonus to pay for printer paper, toner, and a mobile hotspot device. They do not provide you with the tools you need in order to do the job. You have to pay for these yourself. If you get into a legal bind, the company will not help you out. They don't seem to care about their employees much. They start you off with a lowball salary and claims of "It's better than where you are now" and "we'll give you a raise once you start getting claims finalized." I have yet to see a raise and quite honestly with the amount of things they make me pay for I might as well make $10.00/hour.
