I said that an unordered map is a list of buckets and they very quickly disagreed even though it's correct and they rudely pointed out how it's obvious and I have to be joking that I don't know the answer. I told them that I just described a hash table and we moved on. For the map structure I said it's based on a binary search tree and it was correct.
