Avantages

The best reason to work at Rite Aid is the opportunity to learn about retail in all its various aspects, from cashiering to marketing to merchandising and so forth. It is very rare to see every aspect of retail in a big box setting but Rite Aid gives almost every employee an opportunity to learn. Managers are moved around almost continuously so there is ample opportunity to learn in many different settings and with many different management styles. Rite Aid also provides good training for new managers .

Inconvénients

Salaried management is expected to work at least 50 hours per week (and it is usually considerably more than that). There is a great deal of stress working for a company that is years away from profitability. Store level management is caught in the middle - catching flack from customers, associates and upper management. Rite Aid is open most holidays and some NEVER close. Assistant Managers are NOT part of the bonus program and are generally treated poorly - doing the same work as Store Managers but are paid a lot less and not sharing in the profitability of the store.
