Avantages

- Great people - Folks are willing to teach/discuss their work with you - Perks are on par with typical SF tech companies - Depending on your position, you can really quickly get into some awesome projects - People really do care about the mission/players - not being predatory as a F2P game means a lot

Inconvénients

- Doesn't do a great job of rewarding high performance - Focus on alignment means a huge amount of people have say/input on decisions, which can lead to paralysis. Absolutely need a strong vision or ideas die quickly. - Comp is very low for some positions - 'Gaming at work' culture is sometimes abused

Passionate co-workers who are all hyper talented, amazing fringe benefits, work/life balance, dedicated managers to help you with your career, and passionate players to serve.

Inconvénients

Egos are rewarded you have to be really good at self promotion, the company is so big that you can feel lost if you don't invest in networking often, layoffs happen at Riot now

Avantages

Great benefits, pays well, can work on some very interesting problems.

Inconvénients

Work hours are from 10-7 and hardly anyone actually works that, so stuff can move at a snail pace. Getting help from central teams can be painful, especially if they're way off hours. Some of the culture can get a bit overwhelming too and you can end up feeling pretty lonely if you don't drink the koolaid.
