Avantages
Depending on the department there are employees who are really hard working and want the best for Moda’s customers. They want to do the right thing which is unusual in this industry where the bottom line is the only measurement of success.
Inconvénients
I agree with the previous comments that it is a very political environment with little or no room for advancement unless your part of the “clique”. If you are the lucky few to be part of the “clique” then you will get the tap on the shoulder to move to the next level. There is also no respect with certain leaders in the company. Most recently a leader was recently promoted to directorship and this caused a lot of jokes, chuckles, and rolling of the eyes with the masses who perceive this individual as not pulling his weight. There are also nicknames about this individual who is related to one of the main leaders that is being freely bantered by his peers behind this individual’s back. This type of culture breeds animosity and lack of respect for those that are using these nicknames. I strongly agree that there is bullying and even shouting at some meetings by certain leaders that is appalling and should not be tolerated by anyone regardless of title. I also worry that there is some age discrimination going on with employees who have vast experience in the industry but because of their age and not being part of the “clique” they are not compensated fairly. Moda needs to watch this closely before a lawsuit is filed.
