Inconvénients
H&R Block is overrated. There are some superstars who work there but the average employee is a retiree or stay at home parent looking to earn extra income. For the most part most people dont really know what they're doing. It's just typing in basic data into their system. They do a good job marketing their services but for the most part preparers take the basic training course and are thrown into the fire. Most people go to H&R Block expecting a CPA type professional when a lot of the time it isn't the case. My salary started at $9/hour and was peanuts. The commission structure doesn't provide huge incentive for employees to perform. The payment structure for their services are outrageous. There were too many times where struggling families had to pay an arm and a leg for a simple earned income credit. Definitely not worth it. Go to a local CPA to get your taxes done where the fees are fair.
