We are looking for a Software Engineer to enrich our team! You will take full part in our data science consulting practice, taking part in the delivery of high-quality models.

You have a software engineer background and possess some (or little) experience in data science, whether it’s through academic or professional settings. You are curious, enjoy working in a team, and are comfortable working independently.

• Applications of NLP for the public health sector
• LLM-powered assistants and tools
• ML and NLP for news aggregation

Who You Will Do

• Collaborate with our team of data scientists on client projects and product development.
• Tackle real-world, challenging problems in various industries such as insurance, banking, healthcare, and more.
• Participate in the entire solution lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment, acquiring valuable project management skills, and exploring new technologies.
• Receive direct mentorship from a senior Effixis data scientist, allowing you to develop crucial technical and practical skills in a stimulating and challenging environment.

Who You Have

• BSc or MSc student in computer science, mathematics, or physics. Self-taught candidates with a strong portfolio of past accomplishments (Kaggle competitions, Github, certifications, and projects) will also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of Python, including libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and NLTK.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch.
• Understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and database systems.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Comfortable with public speaking and presentations.
• Fluent in English and/or French (Dutch or German are a plus)

Nice To Have

• Knowledge of R, SQL.
• Experience with Natural Language Processing.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure preferred).
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
