ABOUT THE JOB
As an NLP Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and
enhancement of our Natural Language Processing Models but also to integrate
existing technologies in order to build the best solutions for our customers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE
Conduct research & development projects which improve EarlyTracks' existing

solutions.
  • Contribute to designing, building, evaluating, shipping, and refining
EarlyTracks’ products with hands-on NLP development ;
  • Train and fine-tune NLP models using large-scale medical datasets. Evaluate

model performance and optimize for accuracy, precision, and recall. Explore
techniques for transfer learning and domain adaptation.

  • Leverage your knowledge of data models to further improve medical
information production and management ;
  • Prototype new approaches and productionalize solutions at scale (research
and development) ;

  • Assess existing models and technologies in order to drive an informed make or
buy decision (LLM, NLP models, etc).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, machine
learning engineers, data analysts, and healthcare professionals, to build new
product features that advance our mission of producing structured medical
records ;
  • Peer coaching through code reviews and sharing of knowledge. Produce
high-quality code that is well-documented, easy to maintain, and follows best
practices for software development ;
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of NLP models and systems to ensure
reliability and robustness. Address any performance issues or limitations, and
provide solutions to improve system e�ciency.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in NLP. Share
your expertise through presentations, documentation, and training sessions to
empower the team and support the growth of EarlyTracks.

WHO YOU ARE
Note: If you are confident that you have the skills and knowledge to perform the duties
of this role but do not match one of the criteria below, do not hesitate to apply and
explain in your application why you consider your experience remains relevant.

  • Master degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics,
or a related field ;
  • Prior experience in Natural Language Processing ;
  • In-depth knowledge of NLP techniques and frameworks, including text
preprocessing, entity recognition, named entity linking, relation extraction, etc. ;
  • Familiarity with deep learning models for NLP ;
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g.,

spaCy, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Ability to implement and optimize algorithms
e�ciently ;

  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex data, and propose
innovative solutions. Attention to detail and a passion for accuracy in
processing data ;
  • Excellent communication skills to e�ectively collaborate with cross-functional
teams and stakeholders. Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical
individuals and influence decision-making ;
  • Keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP ;
  • Mastering French and English.

Experience in the healthcare field (medical management preferably) ;
  • Experience with data mining and segmentation techniques ;
  • Knowledge of another Belgian national language.
