Our Survival Technology played a crucial role in a rescue off the coast of Fiumicino, Italy. During a severe storm with waves over 4 meters and winds exceeding 70 km/h, the sailing vessel ‘Seppia’ experienced engine failure and a blackout. The crew sent a distress signal, and the Coast Guard responded swiftly with a patrol boat. Despite challenging conditions, including a violent thunderstorm, the Coast Guard deployed our liferafts and safely rescued all five individuals. This incident underscores the importance of our technology and reinforces our mission: We Exist to Protect Lives.
Our Survival Technology was vital in a recent rescue operation near Kodiak Island, Alaska. The Coast Guard, with assistance from the Alaska State Troopers and the fishing vessel Victory, successfully rescued two fishermen after their vessel, Tanusha, capsized. The fishermen deployed one of our 6 Person liferafts and were hoisted to safety by helicopter aircrew. Afterwards, they were transported to emergency medical services in stable condition. We are proud to support the brave efforts of those involved in the rescue. This incident highlights the impact of properly maintained equipment and reinforces our purpose: We Exist to Protect Lives.
Our Survival Technology was vital in evacuating 22 passengers and crew from the ferry MF Stord. A fire broke out in the engine room during its Lavik-Oppedal route in Norway’s Sognefjorden. Firefighters airlifted combated the blaze while the crew swiftly evacuated passengers to safety. Passengers and crew successfully evacuated using our Brude KOPAS Marine Evacuation System (MES), after which a rescue boat transported them ashore. We are relieved to report that there were no injuries. This story is a testament to the dedication of our colleagues who make these life-saving solutions possible, and recognition goes out to those involved for making this operation a success. These scenarios reinforce the importance of our purpose – We Exist to Protect Lives.

🚢 Seahaven in Action: Evacuation Sets Benchmarks for Cruise Safety 🚢 We’re proud to announce the successful deployment of Seahaven, the world's largest inflatable lifeboat, witnessed by flag and port state authorities. In a real-time evacuation, Seahaven showcased its advanced safety features, providing a unique perspective on the safe and efficient passenger evacuation experience while highlighting the crew's ability to guide and manage each step with precision and confidence. Seahaven eliminates 100% of onboard lifeboat drills and reduces LSA onboard upkeep time from 150 hours to just 10; it significantly lightens the load on crew members and enhances operational efficiency. We also unveiled our Mobile Training Academy, which delivers tailored, working knowledge directly to the crew on-site, ensuring they are expertly equipped to handle evacuations.
