J'ai travaillé chez Nielsen à temps plein (Plus de 3 ans)

    Avantages

Nice people and approachable upper management

    Inconvénients

(I left prior to 2015 as that year is the earliest year available in the Glassdoor dropdown)

THE biggest con was TCS (Tata) - the company outsourced / offshores many of its back office functions and I was part of the retained organization that was responsible for its respective areas but which was dependent on offshore TCS employees for support. It was a frustrating disaster - TCS over promised and under delivered. Nielsen May love it due to cost savings but it was not a place that I wanted to be at for the intermediate or long term.

Also, at the time, annual merit increases were mediocre at best even for employees with near perfect evaluations and performance.

    Candidature

J'ai postulé via une recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris +3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien à Nielsen (Schaumburg, IL (États-Unis)).

    Entretien

I had 4 interviews total over a 3 month period. First was with a phone interview with a Nielsen recruiter. I has to take an online timed assessment and pass to continue on. The assessment contained questions about my personality and problem solving skills/abilities. Second was a phone interview with a manager two weeks after the first. Third was an in person interview with the manager from the second phone interview and another manager. It was about 1.5 weeks after the second interview. The fourth and final interview was a month after the third. I met with the director of the Center of Excellence.
