On a demandé à un Process TD Engineer...31 mars 2017

Your research is not related to the job you are interviewing for. Why are you not pursuing further research in your area of interest and why do you want to work for Intel ?

I spoke about my aptitude to learn new things, needing a change and my interest to start working in a new field after spending the last 5 years working on a single project. I also spoke about how my experimental skills in a completely different field translates to working in this position at Intel. Moins

Hey, Would you mind telling me after you got an offer, how your start date was? Any possibility of negotiating start date? Moins

Intel Corporation

did you ever modify a piece of equipment?

2 réponses

Because I work in customer service, I am often called upon to craft unique pieces that our standard production staff cant cope with. I am current workin on a total redesign of our standard robot control station for the LAPD bomb squad that incorporates a large touch screen, as well as a smaller portable receiver only viewing unit from scratch for use by their SWAT unit. I am also crafting documentation and work instructions, as I need to make two, and these may become future products. I have also crafted unique battery packs that incorperate bb2590 lithium batteries in series and parallel to make a singular 36v unit to take the place of the standard current production Lead-Acid variant. In short... yes. Moins

There's a lot of elements to typically cover in these questions, clarifications, scoping, making sure you're answering the actual question the interviewer is looking for you to answer, etc. Could be worth doing a mock interview with one of the Prepfully Intel Process TD Engineer experts... they've worked in the role so they clearly know how to get through the interview. prepfully.com/practice-interviews Moins

Thanks for sharing. Did they all ask any technical question?

It's essential to demonstrate that you can really go deep... there are plenty of followup questions and (sometimes tangential) angles to explore. There's a lot of Process TD Engineer experts who've worked at Intel, who provide this sort of practice through mock interviews. There's a whole list of them curated on Prepfully. prepfully.com/practice-interviews Moins

Questions were to determine how you work with people, or how your thought process works. Nothing was pulling specific technical knowledge.

Through questions like this, interviewers are mostly trying to test your skillset (and its relevance to the role) as robustly as possible, so be prepared for multiple offshoots and followups. It could be a useful exercise to do mocks with friends or colleagues in Intel to get a real sense of what the interview is actually like. Alternatively Prepfully has a ton of Intel Process TD Engineer experts who provide mock interviews for a pretty reasonable amount. prepfully.com/practice-interviews Moins

Why is your GPA not a 4.0? See above for my response.

1 réponses

Random nature of events or common cause variation in the language of statistical process control, used in process engineering. If it were gotten the off the control limit, I guess, 3.0/4.0 for most US graduate schools, it would flag red on the control process chart in the room of your graduate program director.... :) Moins
