Got a call about having an on-site interview, I worked in the industry so they didn't ask for a phone interview. They payed for my gas and lodgings. Got to the site early in the morning, had a small tour of the office, then got right down to the interviews. Interviewed with the two guys who would be my bosses, lots of situation questions. Then I had a skills review with two of the engineers. Lots of how does a tower run, what would you do if your plant wasn't operating well question. Overall, nice people.

I completed a HireVue interview with bp which is the on demand video interview. It was very awkward talking to no one and not being able to gauge reactions. I did the practice questions beforehand to get used to the medium but it was still difficult.

Question 1
Describe a time you acted in according to one of your core values. What was the core value? How did others react?
Did a recording interview on a computer. Never heard back after it. Seems like the entire system was automated. It would be great if any communication took place after. The questions werre pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary.

Simply, a waste of time, the interviewer was searching for someone who can do his own job, not one with a potential or multiskilled. It was actually a really narrow minded interview mindset
