I applied online for the Project associate-law position. I'm a recent law school graduate. I had the first phone interview which was very quick and I the recruiter immediately set up a skype interview for the next day. During the skype interview, it seemed as though the recruiter had made up her mind about me within the first minute and was rushing to get off for the rest of the time. She did not ask me if I had any questions and told me at the end that she would give my resume to upper management. I didn't get the position but feel like I never really had a shot. It seems that people who are moved on to the next phase of interviewing find out during the interview. That wasn't the case with me. I can't understand why the recruiter never gave me a fair shot. Maybe they hear about how easy to get a job there and are trying to rectify the situation.

I sent in my resume and was contacted the next day for an phone interview for the following day. The interviewer called me ten minutes later than we were scheduled to speak and seemed very frazzled. She started off by asking me to tell her about myself. I mentioned my background (newly licensed, where I went to school, relevant coursework), and what I was looking for a place where I could establish a career while maintaining a healthy work life balance. It pretty much went down hill from there. I explained that to me that meant 50-60 hour weeks would be typical and only occasional nights/weekends. Which would fit what she told me were their hours 8-6pm M-F. It's like she had made up her mind about me or stopped listening or was lying about their hours, but wouldn't get off the phone. It was very awkward. Basically, she told me to read the reviews on this site and call back if I was serious. I don't usually put a lot of stock in online reviews because people only write if they love or hate something, so I don't think its that credible, but here's a person who works there saying its an accurate depiction.
