I was contacted by a recruiter for a position that was a lower level than where I am at currently which shows that the recruiter does not truly understand the role they are interviewing for. When I asked the salary range she said the budget for that role was not available yet but gave me a standard range. After a quick screening call she said the next step would be to take an aptitude test with questions that are not related to this role and a personality test which I could take from home while logged onto zoom to be video recorded during the test so they know it’s me taking it. She then emailed me sample tests that I could practice on beforehand. Hard pass.
