I applied online and was contacted just under a month later to set up a pre-screen interview with an HR representative. After that initial 45 minute conversation, I was invited to a conversation with the hiring manager. It was very conversational and last more than the allotted time. I was told there were other applicant and I could expect an update after two weeks. I received an automated email asking me to complete a survey about the interview process and assumed that meant the job had closed. I logged into the job portal and found my application had been declined - I guess that’s what they meant by I’d hear something.
