J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Travelers (Hartford, CT) en janv. 2010
Entretien
I was fortunate enough to have interned at Travelers and was able to apply for my current postion via employee referral. Upon resume submission it took about a week for HR to call at which time they asked if they could set up a 30 min phone interview with me. At the time of the phone interview they ask the basic interview questions that pertain to the position and your resume. After that it was about a week before i was notified to come in for in person. You check in at HR meet quickly with the HR person to get settled in. The hiring manager then picks you up from HR and brings you to their area. I met with the hiring manager discussed the details of the position and how i would be able to relate my prior experiences to it. No questions were out of the normal or tough very straight forward. After the hiring manager I met with other managers in the area to discuss how the position interacted with them and then briefly with the VP. It certainly gave me a good feel for the group which was very helpful. Due to the hiring manager not getting all the information she had intended to she brought me back in about a week later for a more informal interview where we went to the cafeteria and chatted. After that interview it took awhile for HR to get back they are typically on the slower side with things as it is corporate america and in the mean time i got another offer which i used to push them along. They were very good about matching that offer but made it clear that it was a firm offer and i could not negotiate. Pretty standard interview process for corporate america and an insurance company. My advice would be to have experiences and answers to typical questions rehearsed ahead of time and dress the part.
