I got a phone call for an interview and had one set up by my career centre. All candidates were invited to a networking reception a few days before their interviews. There were two back-to-back interviews. The first round was with HR and the second round was with three Managers. 90% of the questions were based on behavioural/fit. Just be willing to learn, and meet as many people and ask as many questions as you can during the reception.

First round interview - 30 minutes each back to back. The interviewers asked mostly behavioural questions with some technical questions. The first part was tell me about yourself and career goals type questions. There were technical questions about market view, basic questions on asset class and portfolio allocation. There were no brain teaser questions. They did not ask me to provide a stock pitch . Most questions were skewed towards behavioural rather than technical.

I applied online. Interview on campus. Two rooms with 1-2 people in each room. An overall bad experince and bad representation of the company. The interviewer in one room had no interest in what I was saying. Kept looking outside the window. The other interviewer looked down the whole time and avoided eye contact. He seemed like he didnt want to be there. It seemed like it was a waste of my time and theirs. I almost felt bad for taking up their time. You need to remember, you dont know who you will be seeing in the future and where. These people are coming to schools as managers and reps of TD, you need to be mindful everyone being interviewed and are also potention clients and partners of the company. This is quite the contrary with other bank interviews which provide excellent experience.
